Hawaii News Now Sunrise Show - Pearl Harbor Warbirds
Fly Pearl Harbor
like it was on December 10th, 1941
Your experience begins as a member of the Aviation Detachment – on December 10th, 1941 three days after the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor. History comes alive once you receive your simulated Classified Intelligence Brief, similar to what you may have experienced in 1941, to assist you in your Route-Reconnaissance and Battle Damage Assessment mission.
Then execute a Battle Damage Reconnaissance flight aboard the venerable U.S. Navy (AT-6) that many WWII Aviation Cadets experienced early in their training. See Pearl Harbor and O‘ahu from the air as the Army and Navy airmen saw it. Fly the same routes the Japanese attackers used. The sights, sounds and smells of the military aircraft with its radial engine provide the experience of a lifetime.
Our vintage WWII warbird aircraft is available for film and photographic assignments and events. The U.S. Navy SNJ, built by North American Aircraft in July 1944, is a perfect prop to lend authenticity or nostalgia. It is fully restored with a pre-war USS Saratoga paint scheme and can be used as a subject or background scenery. This national and world record holding aircraft has been featured at the National Championship Air Races in Reno, Thunder Over the Rock, Aviation Nation, Wings Over the Pacific and many other events. I can still feel my adrenaline pumping from the ride. It’s hard to imagine how it might have felt to pilot these planes during a real war on these beautiful pacific islands, but I’ve left the day with a better understanding of the attack and what it was like to be in the air in 1941.

My dad kept talking about the experience which genuinely expressed his aviation delight and with the whole event. We really appreciated your professionalism and warm demeanor during the entire flight. Thank you for offering such a warbird experience.
The aircraft is in immaculate condition - I dread to think how many hours you've put into its upkeep. I shall treasure the flight for years to come. My wife says the smile on my face after the flight was quite a sight, and I probably haven't lost it yet.
Thank you for the unforgettable experience and hospitality. It was the highlight of our trip to O‘ahu. From the minute we got to the airport, it was as if we stepped back in time. Your attention to detail is fantastic. Mahalo.
My father-in-law truly enjoyed himself and was visibly moved by the whole experience. He kept saying that it was one of the best experiences he's had and will remember for the rest of his life!
I am already trying to figure out a reason to get back to Hawai‘i for another ride.
